Hi Walt
After Murali comitted that change, we pass all the nightly tests on
our debian test machine (2.6.12 kernel), but we get a kernel oops on
our fedora core 5 machine (2.6.17-ish kernel).

Murali recognized the kernel oops as something we addressed in HEAD.
If you could sync up your branch with HEAD, that would probably take
care of the oops on fc5, and would also be a big help when we
eventually merge your changes into mainline.
