Hi, I went to PVFS2 page and there says that PVFS2 has distributed metadata, but it does not give details on how it is implemented. I searched the web and the only source I found was from an undergraduate student' paper. It said that handle numbers were statically allocated to pvfs2-servers, so a client would hash the complete filename to find out which pfvs2-server it should contact to read and store metadata. Is this correct?
For OrangeFS I heard that it will be using the GIGA+ strategy. Thanks, André Oriani
