A fix for this problem has been checked into the stable branch. Attached is
a patch. This affects any system based on a 2.6.38 or later kernel.

    It is a known bug in the PVFS2 kernel module.   Reported back in
May by Andrew Savchenko.  And again in July by Jim Kusznir.  I have
also encounted it.

    I don't think it has been fixed yet.   Check the mailing list
archive for details.  e.g. under subject:

        "PVFS2 problems compounding: not ready for production? "
