Looks like we're good to go:

tcp://bio-ppc-head-4:3334/pvfs2-fs
                     1014G  113G  902G  12% /mnt/pvfs2

Three servers each with a 300+G partition.

Is creating a software RAID device for multiple disks still the recommended way to use multiple disks on a server?

Thanks,

Aha, that did it - got a clean module compile without any warnings.

Thanks, and I'll keep y'all updated on our progress.

 I'd build things like this:

./configure --build powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu --host \
powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu --disable-server \
--with-kernel=</wherever/your/kernel/is>
make kmod
