Actually i ran 'make oldconfig' and then 'make prepare' in kernel src. It created utsrelease.h

I was able to do 'make' in pvfs2 directory. But, when I was doing 'make kmod' it again gave error related Module.symvers

For, that I did in kernel src:
make silentoldconfig
make prepare
make scripts

Finally I was able to do make kmod in pvfs2 directory. Then, everything went well and I have my pvfs2 running.

make prepare

Does the utsrelease.h header show up then?
