Hi,
I've started a new thread for this, it picks up on some discussion in
"Problem mounting iso files on PVFS2".

Murali's build instructions differ slightly from the Quick Start
Guide, Section 2.3: The additional step is `make kmod` between `make`
and `make install`.

I am able to compile and install the PVFS 2.6.2. It seems all
proceeds fine, though there are some warnings issued. I've attached
log files from the configure, make, make kmod and make install steps
as executed on the compute nodes.
I did the same steps on the forntend. Unfortuantely I didn't capture
the frontend output though I did browse it, noticed the warnings and
hence captured the compute node install results - the frontend output
seemed the same as the compute node results.

The steps I executed are descibed in: pvfs2-upgrade-steps.sh
The compute node log files are in: pvfs-log.tar.gz
The /etc/rc.d/init.d/pvfs scripts are: pvfs2-server and pvfs2-client

When I restart the frontend, I see the pvfs2-server and pvfs2-client
start [ OK ], however the pvfs2-client start indicates it is version
1.5.1.

Looking at the log files I can't see where a pvfs2-client file is
installed and looking in /opt/pvfs2/sbin, it seems only the
pvfs2-server file is updated.

Is this expected?

I notice the quick start guide does not mention a
/etc/rc.d/init.d/pvfs2-client file...?
Appreciate any suggestions on how to proceed - unless this discussion
is best taken to the Rocks Cluster list?

Regards
Mark
