a non-participant pvfs-client, but connected through the nfs exported
directory hangs until memory is exhausted

Participant pvfs clients have acces through nfs without any problem.
Moving 1 file to another directory, doesn't matter which one and
everything works as expected again.
I've had this several times, it looks like trouble starts when there are
'a lot' of files which names are a lot like each other.
Any idea what could be the reason, much preferable how this could be solved.
