Hi All - The openib warning is an async message coming in from the subnet/manager, roughly translates to : IBV_EVENT_CLIENT_REREGISTER SM sent a CLIENT_REREGISTER request to a port.
We dont actually do any handling on this specific warning that I can recall, its informative in nature, but with pretty much any of these async events.. if you see your logs full of these warnings you likely have something on your IB network that is misconfigured (outside of pvfs2). If you can have someone take a look at your network and see if there are errors/warnings on the subnet manager it may be helpful in isolating the openib warnings above... if everything comes back okay I can take a closer look at the openib code to see if there should be different handling here.
