during the devpvfs2-req.c (in the linux-2.6 directory) compilation, the
errors are as follows (hand typed due to network security):

852: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'compat_uptr_t'
In function 'translate_dev_map26':
864: error: implicit declaration of fucntion 'compat_alloc_user_space'
864: warning: initialization makes pointer from integer without a cast
869: error: 'struct PVFS_dev_map_desc32' has no member named 'ptr' (this
shows 7 times)

there are a few more that are similar with the function 'compat_ptr' and
the no member named are total_size, size and count

if you need the complete message list, i can type it all in.
