Dimos, Please note that compiling source that resides in an OrangeFS file system is not typically recommended. Offhand I don't think the fixes that were implemented for version 2.9.2 would affect this compilation behavior you are seeing, but I may be overlooking something. I am forwarding your question to the users mailing list in case others can help answer your questions.
If you can send the compile errors you encountered when building 2.9.2 we can help identify what is happening. Also, what OS version were you using? Thanks, Elaine ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dimokritos Stamatakis <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Jun 15, 2015 at 11:03 PM Subject: Re: OrangeFS kernel module To: Elaine Quarles <[email protected]> Hi Elaine, I have been testing the PVFS kernel module and I realized that something goes wrong after some operations. I am building the apache source tree under a directory mounted on the PVFS2 and there is an error about some includes from a library required by apache. When I build the apache source tree in a regular local directory everything works fine! I tested with 2.9.1 version, so do you think the bugs you told me about (that are fixed in 2.9.2) might be the problem for that? I also tried to upgrade to 2.9.2 but I get some compile errors when building the PVFS source tree. I would appreciate if you could forward this email for further assistance. Many thanks, Dimos _______________________________________________ Pvfs2-users mailing list [email protected] http://www.beowulf-underground.org/mailman/listinfo/pvfs2-users
