Glad to hear it. > > Thanks for all the help. I learned a lot from the suggestions and documents > I found here. My next challenges will be lirc and radio, but I'm postponing > those for now. Setting up lirc can unfortunately be a challenge. The radio is not (yet) supported for the HVR-1950. I need to look at this again; last time (a long while ago) there was an issue in the tuner driver that would have prevented it from working, but by now that might be fixed in which case it may just be a simple matter of enabling it within the pvrusb2 driver. Keep in mind that the radio on this device acts differently than you might expect for a V4L-driven radio. The pvrusb2 web site talks about this, but in a nutshell the audio stream, like a TV signal, is delivered via the V4L device node as mpeg data - with a blank video frame. There are ways to post-process this data into simple PCM audio; that information is on the pvrusb2 web site. -Mike -- Mike Isely isely @ pobox (dot) com PGP: 03 54 43 4D 75 E5 CC 92 71 16 01 E2 B5 F5 C1 E8 _______________________________________________ pvrusb2 mailing list [email protected] http://www.isely.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pvrusb2
