Just a quick note, this tarball does not contain: v4l-pvrusb2-24xxx-01.fw v4l-pvrusb2-29xxx-01.fw
This tarball also includes duplicates of only some of the firmware files from the ivtv-firmwares tarbal. Looks to me like more of a mess now! At first, I thought the tarball contained all the files for pvrusb2/hvr-1950. :-/ On Thu, 2009-04-23 at 16:57 -0800, Roger wrote: > A new package has been introduced into Gentoo called > sys-kernel/linux-firmware (and the latest version is 20090421). > > For those without Gentoo, you can get the tarball here: > http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/dwmw2/firmware/ > > > Relevant v4l firmwares, including PVRUSB2 & HVR-1950, > > $ tar -jtf /usr/portage/distfiles/linux-firmware-20090421.tar.bz2 |grep > v4l > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx231xx-avcore-01.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx23418-apu.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx23418-cpu.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx23418-dig.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx23885-avcore-01.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx23885-enc.fw > linux-firmware-20090421/v4l-cx25840.fw > > > So Mike, is media-tv/ivtv-firmware now deprecated as of this available > tarball? ie.
