Helmut,

I use the Pro-Ject Phono Box USB; it can accept either moving coil or moving
magnet input:

For Linux software, I used Audacity which made it easy to divide the audio
stream into individual tracks.

Hope this helps,

Charles

Subject: [pvrusb2] [offtopic] device for digitizing old records

Hi,

can anybody please recommend a device for digitizing old records.
The device should be connected directly to magnetic coil of the pickup
of the record player. So it needs some sort of pre-amplifier.
And, of course, it should be support by Linux.

Many thank for your hints,
Helmut.
