hi list, i've been using PWC for a couple of years now, with a philips 730 camera, without problems. my software supports PWC to get to the higher framerates. however, since version 9 (still maintained by Nemosoft at that time) i ran into a problem:
the first time a newer camera (like logitech quickcam pro 4000) was loaded by the 9 driver, everything worked ok. after quitting the application and restarting it, there was this strange pattern which i try to discribe as: * black flash * AGC trying to catch up again * stable image this pattern repeated with a period of about 5 seconds. yesterday i found out that if i remove the ioctl to VIDIOCPWCRUSER everything works like normal. so it seems this is a problem with PWC. the problem is solved by either unpugging the camera, or unloading/reloading the pwc module. any idea what this could be?
