Hi guys, Following up on my previous post - I haven't been able to find any information on whether the "Quickcam Pro 4000" I bought is real.
The company that sold it to me claims that they purchase direct from Logitech. I guess it's possible that Logitech uses a different device ID for Quickcam Pro 4000's shipped as OEM packages (no retail package, manual, drivers). The pwc source has a comment suggesting that the 0x086b may be CMOS. Is there any way I can test with software to probe whether the camera has a CMOS or CCD? If I can find a way to prove this camera has a CCD I'll keep it, if not I'll send it back. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for your help!
