I'd guess this has to do with your serving the images via Apache - maybe
Comanche looks in some different directory for page uploads? Seems like a
Bug to me ...

Btw, you should be a little bit more careful serving the whole swiki dir
by Apache - it's easy to spy out passwords this way.
