Apparently it's possible, but I'm sure it requires an upgrade to the protocol version.
I haven't as yet convinced myself that it's worth install Yahoo's native client so that I can figure out how to make PyYIMt to work with msn contacts. I assume that James (or someone else) would have to do the same on the PyMSNt side before PyMSNt will show yahoo contacts as online and allow you to chat to them. Rememeber that if you have other users on your server, they may want to use the yahoo transport because they only have yahoo id's. So you'll still need to keep the transport around. The only thing this gains you - is that individuals only have to register once. On 10/12/06, Bearcat M. Sandor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Folks, I understand that msn and yahoo are now cooperative in such a way that is is possible to contact Yahoo users with Windows Messanger and and visa versa. Using the msn python transport, can i add/contact a Yahoo user? I've tried verious combonations of IDs like "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" ([EMAIL PROTECTED] is my server of course) and nothing works. Is this possible to do? It would be one mess package to track and one less service to run. Thanks, Bearcat M.
