Hi,
I have problems with the pyICQ-transport since a few days. The transport
goes offline from time to time with the following error message:
Your message could not be delivered: "ICQ connection lost! Reason:
[Failure instance: Traceback (failure with no frames):
exceptions.UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in
position 3-5: unexpected end of data]", Reason: ""
I'm using the following software:
pyicq-t-0.7b
[ebuild R ] net-im/jabberd-2.0.11
[ebuild R ] dev-lang/python-2.4.3-r1
[ebuild R ] dev-python/twisted-2.0.1
Can anybody help me to fix that problem?
Thanks,
Mark

I don't use py-icq, but from posts here I learned that ICQ transport
doesn't support twisted 2.0, I belive you need to downgrade. Also
someone suggested that you can put twisted in the pyicq folder, and it
will use that version.
For more info, look in for those posts:
"[py-transports] PyICQt: UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8'"
in mailing list archive.
