this bug should be fixed in:

/yahoo.py/1.47/Thu Aug 24 13:33:50 2006//
/ylib.py/1.23/Thu Aug 24 12:52:41 2006//

You should be aware that the Yahoo transport is buggy at best, but you can add
yahoo users via the MSN transport since Microsoft bought Yahoo Messenger
([EMAIL PROTECTED] on MSN). You still appear as whatever your user ID is
on the other network via the transport, the jabber server logs in to the
other network for you.

If you want to reduce your IM IDs to just one, do what I did: Set a date a
couple weeks out, tell all your IM contacts that if they still want to talk
to you online, they need to switch to Jabber, and just stop using the old
networks on the said date.

No. You already said your JID is [EMAIL PROTECTED] above.

He meant the jid of the transport.

Does anyone have any insight on this latest problem I am having with
the pyaimt transport? (This is a resend.)

Thanks for that information. I removed the saslUserName tag and pyaimt
seemed to come up ok. Now I'm stuck at the next stage (I have
successfully been running jabber 1.4.2 with AIM transport for a few years
-- finally decided to upgrade -- I feel a little foolish with all these
problems).

I try and register the aim service using Exodus by referencing
aim.topshot.com. I see the following debugging messages at the point
where I do the registration:

Exodus eventually times out saying it couldn't register. Something else
seems to be the matter. Any further suggestions?
