Dooh.  I do mean that the person asking the question should have it  
turned off if saslUsername and useComponentBinding is also turned  
off, but useRouteWrap -should- be turned on if SASL is turned on.

Yeah, I was supposed to write up a JEP proposal for some sort of  
standardization of this.  =)  I haven't had to the time to do it.
