Hrm.  That's odd, that's the opposite of what I've heard happen  
before.  Did you happen to migrate your spool from JIT or just start  
fresh with pyicq?  All PyICQ can really do is set your status to  
"online".  At that point it's up to ICQ to tell everyone on your  
buddy list who's allowed to see that.  Big question here is ... can  
you communicate with these people even though they can't see your  
online status?
