I'm pretty sure that at the moment it's only possible to get into skype from the client side.. Miranda has a plugin to use the skype-api if you want to try it out. But if you want to find an alternative way (without running client) to get into the network with a transport or a client you have to study the protocol..

i would love the ability to write at least text messeges to skype users but i guess it's better (and easier) to bring skype users to jabber.
