The errors are apparently unrelated to the debugger bug... What you're experiencing is a known bug (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1757103 &group_id=85796&atid=577329) it's already fixed in the cvs and will be available for pydev 1.3.9. There's a patch you can use attached to that bug while it's not released (or you can get the pydevd_*.py files and copy to your distribution from http://pydev.cvs.sourceforge.net/pydev/org.python.pydev.debug/pysrc/).
