Some corrections to my post: - When calling settrace() from the main module, I can resume and subsequent breakpoints are ok. Seems like I had a silly mistake in my python code when I posted the original message, and did not notice it because eclipse switched to the debug server's console when it crashed. - If I have a breakpoint in the main module, subsequent breakpoints work even when they are in the imported module. Apparently, all that matters is that there the first breakpoint is not in an imported module. - A fact I did not mention: when the first breakpoint is in the main module, it always stops at line 80 of weakref.py. In that case, I see the same behavior described here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pydev/forums/forum/293649/topic/3837914 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What happens now with your Lotus Notes apps - do you make another costly upgrade, or settle for being marooned without product support?
