Under the Project preferences, I chose PyDev>Interpreter - Python. I clicked the New... button to add a new Interpreter. When I pointed it to the host application's exe, which is a GUI XML editor, it merely opened the interpreterInfo.py file in the editor as a text file. When I closed the host GUI application, an error dialog popped up (see attached image) and included the log text, "See error log for details. No output was in the standard output when trying to create the interpreter info. The error output contains:>>'import site' failed; use -v for traceback".
