The page https://wiki.python.org/moin/CompLangPython has stale information about connecting via Gmane; the Gmane web site is gone, but you can use NNTP to access the group via gmane.io (moved from gmane.org).
I have set myself up with my Launchpad Id as user name "era" if you would like to grant me edit access to this page; but it's probably simpler if you just move it from "Web access" to a new bullet point "NNTP access". The newsgroup's name on Gmane is still gmane.comp.python.general -- If this were my real .signature, it would suck less.
