Anyone have any idea why this function doesn't work for *me*?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, 32, Pygame 1.7.1, 1.7GHz Duo, 2GB RAM,
GeForce Go 7600, and Python 2.4.
It worked with Python 2.4 with no other differences.
