I started a WordPress version of the site (http://pygame.info). I thought it might be nice to add a set of trusted editors (like keep a dozen or so active members) so that we can have the news updated on a regular basis and avoid the spam. Plus have an updated look and feel.
There wasn't a lot of interest on this, and I was finishing my pygame book, so it has just sat for now. The bitbucket site might be another good alternative.
