I teach Python classes (now live online!) I'm getting to the point in my course where I use Pygame, and I want to encourage my students to download and use it for projects.
I have not upgraded my personal setup for a while. I am using Python 3.7.3 with Pygame 1.9.6 on a Mac, and everything is working very well. But I've read here that Python 3.8 doesn't, or at least didn't, work with the current version of Pygame. Is this still true? Would it be best to have my students use the same set up as me with Python 3.7.x ? If not, what are the proper versions to use? These are beginner students (mostly art students) - it is a stretch to even get them to use pip. Thanks, Irv
