Hello Mat,

You're not doing anything wrong. AVbin is un-maintained. The media player
code is quite buggy. This produces problems such as the one you describe.
You will notice that the issue tracker is filled with problems with the
media player.

I've been working on a new version of the media player based on ffmpeg
instead of avbin. The code is not yet merged back into pyglet but that will
hopefully happen before the end of this year. In the meantime, if you want
to give it a try, you can download it here:
https://bitbucket.org/dangillet/pyglet/overview
<https://bitbucket.org/dangillet/pyglet/overview>

Make sure you checkout the branch *ffmpeg*. You will then be able to play a
mp4 media provided you have the ffmpeg binaries available.

I hope it helps!
Daniel
