Thank you Charles for trying out the code. Your report was very useful and allowed me to identify a bug.
Claudio correctly identified the first issue. The issue with the sound was only due to the fact that I didn't properly test the creation of Player through Source.play(). There was an issue with the player being immediately destroyed as no references were kept anywhere. The bugs have now been corrected and I've submitted a pull request.
