Yes, I am using numpy and pygsl on a 64 bit machine. 

I will try the CVS version and let you know how it goes.

Are you using numpy and pygsl on a 64 bit machine? This issue is known, 
however I did not yet find the time for a new release. Please could you 
try the CVS version if the above is the case?
