Dear all,
pygsl has a memory leak, when it generates traceback frames in the
C code part. This design was deliberatly taken, as the solvers call the
registered callback when it is not necessarly taken.
So these traceback frames are disabled now by default. These can be
enabled (together with the leaks) using
$ pygsl.add_c_traceback_frames(1)
These can be disabled again any time using
$ pygsl.add_c_traceback_frames(0)
I found further memory leaks in the fdf solvers (even when no error
occurred). These have been fixed as well and are in CVS.
I will prepare a new release. In the mean time a tar is available
at http://pygsl.sf.net/pygsl-0.9.6.tar.gz.
Please have a look and see if the problem is gone or not.
Sincerely yours
Pierre
