Friends

I tried to install glade, and this produced a problem with pango. Subsequently I upgraded to SuSE 9.3 in the hope that this would solve the dependency problem, but unfortunately this problem has persisted.
The message I get when running a python script which imports pyGTK is -

Pango-WARNING **: No builtin or dynamically loaded modules
were found. Pango will not work correctly. This probably means
there was an error in the creation of:
'/usr/local/etc/pango/pango.modules'
You may be able to recreate this file by running pango-querymodules.

(sel_rays.py:11326): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

(sel_rays.py:11326): Pango-CRITICAL **: _pango_engine_shape_shape: assertion `PANGO_IS_FONT (font)' failed

Pango-ERROR **: file shape.c: line 75 (pango_shape): assertion failed: (glyphs->num_glyphs > 0)
aborting...
Aborted

I have tried running pango-querymodules.

I would be grateful of suggestions as to how I should solve this problem.

Regards
Jim Leven
