Hi,
I would like to have PyGTK on my MEPIS installation. However, I am unable to find a version of PyGTK that runs on Python 2.3 (linux).
I managed to install the rpm that is acompanied on several other distros, but they were intended for Python 2.2. I added the path of the '2.2 package' to a pth file
in Python 2.3 'site packages' folder, but i would get a lot of deprecation warnings on the console with the PyGTK programs running. Also, not all programs would run.
I obtained the "pygtk-2.4.0.tar.gz" source, but was not able to compile since the Python headers were missing. I expected the Python headers to be part of the python installation, however that does not seem to be the case.
Is there a pre-built package available for Python 2.3.5?
