I was wondering if it would be considered to move the source code of pyinstaller from subversion to github.com <http://github.com>. I can only speak for myself, but I find it quite a bit easier to contribute patches or additions via github, because anyone can fork from master, contribute a bit, and then submit a pull request. At that point, accepting the pull request is just a button push away ;)
Thanks for you input. We started a discussion on this amongst the core-developers.
We will face the problem of pushing commits from the external repo into trac, so the timeline, etc. are all up to date.
Do you have experience in converting subversion repositories to mercurial? I did some tests today and the results are not satisfiying for me, see http://www.pyinstaller.org/ticket/458
