Well, I think, this would be the best solution. Otherwise anybody using
Homebrew or Macports would have to go through compile-orgies, too.

Not being a Mac-user, I'm quite sure, you have.  As marting wrote:
find_tk_darwin in PyInstaller/Hook/hook-_tkinter.py is looking for the
pathes.You need to test for the Homebrew /Mayports locations there.
Should be easy if you know the pathes.
