it looks like nobody answered your question yet, so I'll try.

Somebody should be shot for this line. pymc.gp.conv_func is a module,
too, so it's dirname could be used instead of plattform-dependent hacks.
Even pymc.gp.conv_func,distances could be imported directly.

As you are sure, the hidden import in PyMC is the problem, a hook is the
way to go. Please see the manual for further description and the
PyInstaller/hooks directory for lots of real-world examples.

I assume a simple
hook-pymc.gp.conv_func*.wrapped_distances.py
containing
hiddenimports = ['pymc.gp.conv_func,distances']
should suffice,

We'd happily add the hook. The best ways to to this would be submitting
a pull-request at github. Please use the corrent development version to
base your work on.
