Besides running into the *exact* same issues and drawing a similar 
conclusion I also have not found away around this.
However, I think that it would be very welcome for pyinstaller to catch 
linking to the interpreter.
Quite possible this is a OSX specific issue, but I feel that PyInstaller 
should be able to deal with these links adequately.

For what its worth, I've tried to compile the module that gives this 
headache without linking to python and consequently I cannot compile it.
This is perhaps less obvious that you might think: for instance, PyQt4 ( my 
module also uses SIP ) does not have any links to the python lib.
