One option would be to replace one file in the zlib archive, however I
don't knoQ whow to achieve this.
This would require a second executable which performs the patching. You
are welcome to implement this and submit a pull-request :-)
Hi Hartmut,
My question was more about which Python commands allow me to modify a
zlib archive
- add a file
- remove a file
- replace a file
than about how to automate this patching and create an executable.
In my context the 'patcher' could be another program (also packed with
py2exe of course)e, that is already preinstalled on the systems in
question, but what I'm stuck is to know how to modify a .pyz file.
What documentation is the best starting point of how to manipulate this
archives.
I'm also a little confused about the .pyz files.
http://legacy.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0441/
seems to indicate a standard zip file containing python code,
but the pyinstaller .pyz file seems to be a in a different file format.
