I have pushed all the changes to Manual.rst that I know about. The manual is ALMOST good for 3.0. What's temporary or missing?
Under "Building Mac OS App Bundles", the sub-topic on the OpenDocument apple event has a *Note:* saying this feature is broken in the 3.0 release. The note has a link to issue #1309 so the reader who cares can view progress & comment. Similarly the whole big topic "Multipackage Bundles" (the MERGE topic) starts with a *Note:* that this whole feature is broken in the 3.0 release, and again a link to #1527 so the reader who is affected can view progress and comment. Finally, the whole topic "Understanding PyInstaller Hooks" starts with a *Note:* saying this is the text from 2.1, and needs to be rewritten for a new API, "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BUILD OR EDIT A HOOK BASED ON THIS TEXT". I expect to update the manual in these three areas as things change. When issue 1309 or 1527 is closed, that note can simply be deleted. The Hooks topic awaits the final check-in of code so I can read the -- one fervently hopes copious and illuminating -- commentary to understand the new API.
