Hello Dax, Try the following:
+ In Finder, do a right mouse click over the app file + Select the "Show Package Contents" option + Go to the Contents/MacOS folder + Double click on the executable file That will show the console as it executes the app. Hopefully, you will see some error message that will help steer you in the right direction.
