figure out how to get it up and running, tell me, and then i'll update the package? :-) ^^^^ highly recommended way > As for now webkit aka pythonwebkit can't be compiled anymore (changes > for the gcc 4.7 series i assume) and the gobject bindings are in a very > experimental state (= not working on my system). blasphemy! gobject FTW! no you are of course correct ... however within the next 2 weeks i have a couple large openings in code-free-time and i'll be pushing the new bindings then. ... as i said in the other message, the future of pythonwebkit support is anything but a sure thing; i personally don't want to continue duct-taping it. > I have not tried xulrunner until now. Is this the way to go? no idea here ... frankly, i only got it running once (maybe?), but it seems to work with the right combination of deps (which, as you know, in Arch, can be more annoying to keep running due to keeping pace with upstream). i think we need to explore other venues, like FireBreath or similar, and get a unified native runtime experience going here ... because they are constantly distracting from work on the compiler, and is a never-ending battle against bit-rot. well, except MSHTML ... or so the legend goes. -- C Anthony
