You are absolutely right. (I always thought of myself as the author of
SIP - PyQt/PyKDE are just ways of testing it.) I am looking at options
where I could put in place some of the things you suggest. I think I
was wrong in my earlier decision not to document SIP because I was
changing the API so much - but now is the wrong time to correct that,
because I don't want to slow up Qt 2 and KDE 2 support. (I hope the
combination of Python and KParts is going to be really powerful.)
What would really help at the moment is some enlightened
company/individual to keep me in food and beer so that I can do this
full time. :)
