That's weird, I downloaded Python 2.3.5 from python.org and here's what I
found:

I stand corrected. I went to an old PPC Panther mac with python 2.3 and the
Py_intptr_t solution built and ran. The confusion came from the - apparent -
fact that Python 2.3.5 on Leopard doesn't include pyport.h even though
Python 2.5 does. Digging further, the 10.4u sdk directory includes pyport.h
for Python 2.3. Oh well, all moot, Py_intptr_t it is !
