I may have just answered one of my questions. It still looks to me as if Player is a higher-level way of playing a sound file. I was wondering why I would ever want to bother with all the complexities of the player described in the tutorial, but it seems that Player does not permit playback from an arbitrary time, only from the beginning of the file. Too bad. I hope that someone tells me that I am wrong. Would it be hard to add this feature to Player?
I also need a way to keep track of where I am in the playback -- another capability that seems to be lacking in Player -- but I was thinking that I could use Callback to count frames.
