Dirk,

stereo_angle is the amount of "toe-in" 

stereo_shift is the horizontal displacement of the camera 

Initially, stereo_angle=2.1 and stereo_shift=2.0

Generally, you don't need to adjust stereo_angle very much.
Stereo_shift is what you want to focus on.  Try increasing it by 1 or 2.

   For hardware or cross-eye,

      set stereo_shift, 4

   For walleye,

      set stereo_angle, 1.95
      set stereo_shift, 4
