Tom, FYI: The Toshiba laptop I cart everywhere I go is Win XP Service Pack 2 with an nVidia GeForce4 460 Go graphics chip. No problems whatsoever. I can't recall for sure, but I think that there may have been some confusion between XP SP2 and the problems seen with the nVidia drivers.
As far as I know, Win XP SP2 work great with PyMOL -- just be careful NOT to upgrade your graphics drivers for the time being if you have an nVidia-based graphics. Cheers, Warren -- Warren L.
