Hi all,

I've just finished the development of two new plugins and a modified version of the PDB loader plugin (now with proxy support). A proxy configuration plugin and a nsSNP loader plugin.

The proxy plugin stores in a pickled file whether the user connects directly to the web or through a proxy. If the connection is through a proxy, it stores the proxy url, port, user name and password (which at this time is not encrypted, any pointers as to how would be really appreciated). Is it possible to add this to pymol as a settings feature rather than a plugin?

The snSNP loader allows the user to enter a SNP (rs) or a Swiss-Prot id and load the structural model from the large scale non-synonymous SNP database LS-SNP (http://alto.compbio.ucsf.edu/LS-SNP/) if one exists. If more than one nsSNP is present for the chosen protein, all nsSNPs are listed and the user is able to choose the nsSNP they wish to view. Once selected, the modeled struture is loaded and the nsSNP residue is zoomed in and selected.

Please visit: http://vbc.med.monash.edu.au/~fauxn/pymol_plugin/plugin.html to download these plugins.

Is there a general plugin website which I'm able to upload these plugins?

All comments and bugs please send an e-mail.

Cheers
Noel
