And not just _any_ Quadro card. Nvidia periodically desupports stereo on older model Quadros. We had a bunch of machines with Quadro FX 1400 cards stuck at an old Nvidia driver and on XP for years because of this. (Linux stereo support was still present for these, last time I looked, but that wasn't recently.) Nvidia documentation of exactly which cards do and not have stereo support on Windows has not always been good - look carefully at the release notes for a recent driver and it may say. Otherwise, contact Nvidia technical support before purchasing. The 1400 cards were desupported about 2 years after we bought them new, so caveat emptor.
